Speaking of self-drivers, the Sydney to Melbourne Coastal Drive is one of Australia’s most popular self-drive holidays for international visitors, providing the option to drive between those two cities at their own pace, stay in Australian towns, experience Australian nature, see Australian wildlife and meet Australian people. And... we are only four hours from the Melbourne end of this drive! Perfect for the first or last night of your trip!

If you don’t wish to drive on our unsealed roads please avail yourselves of our pick-up service. Your car will be safely parked in a supervised situation off road on private property while you experience all Waterholes has to offer.

During the drive out to Waterholes you will enjoy an interpretation of the Australian bush and stop to view things you may not notice if driving yourself. Should you arrive after dark this can happen on the return drive after your stay.

Our wetland and surrounding hills are covenanted to protect the habitat of the powerful owl.
